MaJ'N is currently in its eighteenth year of existence. In looking back upon our history, we thank all of those who so faithfully supported the group and all of those who gave us the opportunity to share about a faith which is so very dear to us. Most of all, we thank God for all that He's done in blessing the group and nurturing it to this day. In looking to the future, we eagerly anticipate the unfolding of God's perfect will and whatever role He wants us to play in it.

Here's some info on the past years of MaJ'N:

MaJ'N - YEAR 1 (1993-1994)



This is MaJ'N during one of its weekly fellowship meetings during its first year. In the back row from left to right are Sol Lee, Susie Bae, Roxanna Chen, Jeanna Haw, Esther Lim, and Audrey Lin. On the couch from left to right are Justin Chen, Paul Lee, Glenn Chen, and Mike Lee. On the floor from left to right are Brian Masselink, Denny Kim, and the big blue guy. (Not pictured are Samantha Chau, Yong Lee, Jae Chang, and Honza Prchal.) Esther Lim and Denny Kim were the two people to whom God gave the insight and strength to start MaJ'N.

MaJ'N - YEAR 2 (1994-1995)



This is MaJ'N after the final concert of its second year at Bond Chapel on the University of Chicago campus. In the back row from left to right are Scott Kim, Denny Kim, John Shiu, Mike Lee, Jewon Lee, Tom Pearl, Glenn Chen, and Moohyun Kim. In the next row from left to right are Jae Chang, Samantha Chau, Lulu Lin, Esther Lim, Susie Bae(Pitch), and Diana Hardy. In the next row from left to right are Jeanna Haw, Sol Lee , and Cori Pearl. As time passed, there were members of the MaJ'N family who could not actively participate in MaJ'N due to other commitments. Thus a natural extension of the MaJ'N famil y formed called MoMaJ'N (Men of MaJ'N) which consisted of a mixture of active and non-active MaJ'N members. This group of guys sang casually on its own throughout the year and sang a small set as part of the MaJ'N final concert In the back from left to right are Glenn Chen and Mike Lee. In the next row from left to right are Denny Kim and Paul Lee. And in the front is Justin Chen.

MaJ'N - YEAR 3 (1995-1996)

MaJ'N - YEAR 4 (1996-1997)


Here is a picture of MaJ'N in its fourth exciting year. This fourth year group was very special because it was the first group without any of the original MaJ'N members in it. We praise the Lord for giving them the strength to flourish and make an impact on campus.

Despite starting off the year with 3 returning members, MaJ'N was blessed immensely by the Lord with a fresh group of new faces. We thank God for giving us a young, dynamic group that is willing to serve Him through our gift of music.
